Sergio Guzman was born in Oaxaca, Mexico. He immigrated to the United States in 1986 and worked as a farm worker in a mushroom company in Pescadero, CA. It was during this time that Sergio became involved with the United Farm Workers Union and for 20 years he held different positions such as an organizer, coordinator, regional manager, membership director and Secretary Treasurer. Sergio has vast experience working with the community and has a passion for worker and human rights.
Sergio is married to his wife Claudia and they have three sons. Sergio is an avid soccer player and coaches his children’s soccer teams.
